Project Summary

The first-place team developed an integrated envelope using an insulated concrete form system with continuous insulation to maintain strong thermal performance and control layers.

Their submission demonstrated technical depth, with well-resolved details addressing key challenges such as balconies and window interfaces. Overall, this was a comprehensive, highly buildable solution, making it a very worthy first-place winner.

The Team

Kai Dela Cruz is a RRC student in their final year of Architectural Engineering, inspired to make an impact with all they do.

Wade Robbins is a senior student of the Architectural Engineering Technology course. He enjoys working on Revit projects in both commercial and residential construction. In his free time he likes to construct and paint models, using various methods like brush painting and air brushing.

Samara Rauch is a in her third and final year of Architectural Engineering Technology at RRC Polytech. She was drawn to this program because of mher personal interest in residential design, construction, and love for math, and enjoys seeing how these interests translate into real world projects.
